Privacy Policy for Lupek
Last updated: July 2026
Lupek is a magnifier and AI vision assistant designed to help people with low vision see and understand the world around them.
What we collect and why
Camera: Lupek uses your camera to magnify and capture images. Photos you capture or select are processed to provide magnification and analysis features. Photos sent to Claude (Anthropic): When you ask Lupek to describe, read, or identify something, the photo and your question are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. Anthropic processes this data to generate a response; see Anthropic's Privacy Policy for how they handle it. Photo Library: If you choose to import a photo, Lupek accesses only the photo you select. Device identifier: Lupek generates a random identifier stored securely on your device (in the iOS Keychain) to track your free trial usage and subscription status. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID. History: Past captures and conversations are stored locally on your device only, and are never sent anywhere except at the moment you ask Lupek a question. What we don't do
We don't collect your name, email, or other personal identifying information. We don't sell your data. We don't use your photos for advertising. Subscriptions
Lupek offers a limited number of free analyses, after which a subscription is required to continue. Subscriptions are billed and managed entirely through Apple's App Store.
